Re: front disc brake conversion question

When I did mine I just ran down to Napa and bought what Ray recommended in his manual. Stock parts good to go. If your doing all 4 like I did, make sure to put a proportioning valve in.

Re: Fuel/Carb/Disti problem

Stu - You live in Edinburgh? My daughter was there last summer for the Fringe Festival. I'm jealous you have a matching '52 trailer. Anyway, this is not the ETW1 - It's a civy carb with no Governor.

Re: Fuel/Carb/Disti problem

I don't know Carter. The engine came out of a Donor M and ran fine in that truck. Compression between 112 and 120 across all 6. I dropped it into my frame off chassis but I've never checked to see what oil pump is in there.

Fuel/Carb/Disti problem

OK - I changed the points and condenser. Previously converted to civy Ball and Ball w/o Governor and civy disti. I could not get RPM's above 1500 until I changed the points. Now, I can get it to 2500 RPMs but the RPM's drop down and then back up over the course of a few seconds - oscillating RPM's. ...

Re: steering wheele

You can unbolt the steering box and pull tthe whole column out so you can paint the rig. Putting in back, two people and slow as she goes.

New Tires or Tires and Rims

Locally, I have found some tires and/or tire/rim combo's for sale. Option 1 would be to replace my stock rims with these: tubeless rims (centers welded in tubless 16.5 x 9.75 rims) with 38.5x14.5x16.5 super swampers TSL-SX. 4 ea. with about 70 to 80% tread left. These are listed for $950. Option 2 w...

I R&R'd all my brake and fuel lines this summer as part of my frame off. I stuck with the original routing along the drivers side of the frame and am not using a fuel pump at present. I did not want to re use the original lines as they are not that expensive to replace and I won't ever have to w...

Outsider - I have one on the hard top from my donor truck out here in California. Let me know if you are still looking and I can snap a pic and you can decide what it's worth. I will not be reusing the hardtop.

screw Needed for E Brake

Anyone know the size of the screw that threads through the three holes on the emergency brake band directly adjacent to the J Bolt? Want to know if I can fab something or procure locally with something similar and modify it. Part number is NP-35775 according to figure 08-3 on page 212 of the explode...
