Anyone passing near Belvidere NJ en route to Aberdeen?

I'll be traveling to the Aberdeen swap meet from SC and a buddy of mine needs to pick up a set of Ben Hur sideboards and bows from a guy in Belvidere, NJ. Is there anyone near there who might be willing to pick them up for me and bring them to Aberdeen?

Re: Removing cosmoline?

Thanks! How hot does it need to be for the cosmoline to run off? Might the South Carolina sun do the trick? :)

Removing cosmoline?

I have an NOS transfer case & parking brake assembly. What is the best way to remove heavy coats of cosmoline? I don't want to us anything that will mess with the brake pad on the parking brake. Thanks.

Re: Fuel Pump Question/Ideas

There is an extra unused wire that comes out of the back of the ignition switch. It is #85. I run my electric fuel pump off of it with no other switch. The fuel pump turns on and off with the ignition. I have a fuse behind the dash, near where it connects to #85. I suppose I could disconnect the pum...

Transfer case mounting bolts

Does anyone happen to know the size of the 4 bolts used to attach the mounting brackets to the sides of the transfer case?

Thanks

Re: idles fine - no power under load

Do a compression check on the cylinders. My truck was doing the exact same thing; it would idle fine and run at 45 mph on flat ground, but on a hill it would 'buck' as though it was being choked of fuel for brief instants, and I would get a dramatic loss of power. It turned out to be a blown head ga...

Info needed on transmission parts

I have the early transmission with casting C88671. Third gear moves around , so I purchased a new main shaft. I also need to purchase the snap rings that go on the main shaft. Does anyone know where I could obtain the snap rings? Does anyone have a part number for them? Also, I need to move the shif...

Re: troop seat finish color

This is off-topic, but it is interesting to see in the picture how they are attaching the cab and the bed to the frame as if they are one unit.

WTB early trans syncro set

Does anyone know of a sources for synchronizer sets for the early transmission?

Can anyone tell me what the part number is for the early set, I'm not sure when I'm looking at and early or late set.

Thanks
