Re: Low compression
One final note from charles's post. He is right about the upper wick being ignored too. Its in the TM but I guess people just dont read anymore about their vehicle. So another thought is that you might want to add a piece of heat shrink on the two wires to the coil. 9 out of 10 times when the insula...

Thanks! -jim lee[/quote] I believe I got mine from John Bizal. Last I knew he still had em. Before you install, put some vasoline around the mating surfaces and ...

Paper Temp tags also work well for gasket material.

Re: US Army, Vietnam M-37.....5th Maint Bn.
Yes it was a former forrestry truck. VT had a lot of them over the years. Many would end up at FD's at every small town also. Now a good portion of them have been released and out in the world.Tuko wrote:what did the state use that truck for? Forestry?

US Army, Vietnam M-37.....5th Maint Bn.
Here is a thread on my 1954 M-37 that I saved from getting parted out. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d86/n3njeff/M-371954.jpg I could not see it get broken up as it was missing a few things and not in running condition. So I have it now and will be pulling the old engine and installing a engine ...

Re: dark green canadian
Looks good. Ive got to say I would really not mind a Canadian truck now. After driving a very heavy M-152CDN and seeing how much power the 251 puts out over the 230................ I LOVE THAT MOTOR!! My friend with the 152 just scored a NOS 251 here in the states :( Oh well, I will keep truckin 230...

Map light receptacle.
Ok, Just wondering what receptacle do you all have in your truck? I have a period light assy but my connector does not match. What I have is a connector that matches the power connector on the Distributor.

Re: XM-708
I've heard about that O-360 J3. I don't follow 18's too closely, but several have mounted 540's One 18 clone has mounted an IO-720. My favorite though is a J3 with an O-200 and 9.5:1 pistons and a Mac 7535 prop. Carrying the same payload (light), about 25-30 feet in the air when a 160 HP 18 breaks ...

Re: XM-708
vtduece, I've been trying repeatedly to do that on two different phones, a Droid Bionic and a Note 2. No luck. I own a PA-11 and a PA-12 as well. The J3 is my favorite. Mounted an O-200 by 337 rather than STC so I wouldn't have to install wing tanks. Nice!! I worked for a banner tow company in s.fl...

Re: XM-708
Thanks, XM-708. Much appreciated. That's Moonbeam 2. Yes, I know the front driver's side Firestone Super All-Traction is mounted backwards -- it's actually temporarily borrowed off the front passenger side of Moonbeam1, which can be seen sitting in the background. Photo taken out back of my hangar ...
