Map light receptacle.

Post by vtdeucedriver »

Ok, Just wondering what receptacle do you all have in your truck? I have a period light assy but my connector does not match. What I have is a connector that matches the power connector on the Distributor.

That light is from WW2 for a Halftrack and a few other vehicles.

VT,

Here's what it looks like. I don't have anything that plugs into it, so I don't know what the male end looks like.

bob

I have the map light (trouble light) and the connector on the dash and in the bed of my trailer.

John at Midwest Military can get the correct M-Series plugs.

The problem with that connector is that the ground on the light must go to the outside of the receptacle on the dash, since the center pin on the plug is the positive (or hot) part of the circuit.

I've got the correct pin for that receptacle, but it doesn't have a ground.

Good Luck!
