Re: XM-708
This is from memory -- don't hold me to it.
I think 192 were built.
About fifteen years ago 11 were left, with a few of those being in Europe.
About 5-6 years ago, someone bought one of the American ones, pulled the dump bed off and scrapped it, replacing it with a 37 bed, leaving ten. I don't know what has happened to the count since then.

I have a xm708 here in VT
I sold one xm708 to a gentleman in NY . This is one that the bed sold off of and the bed is now in Kansas.

There are supposedly 2 in Lousiana in the weeds somewhere and warren duchesne has tried to buy but guy wont sell

Re: XM-708
Thanks, XM-708.
Much appreciated.
That's Moonbeam 2. Yes, I know the front driver's side Firestone Super All-Traction is mounted backwards -- it's actually temporarily borrowed off the front passenger side of Moonbeam1, which can be seen sitting in the background. Photo taken out back of my hangar at the airport while in the process of relocating the trucks.
708 also has a picture (not posted) of Moonbeam3, my 1946 Piper J3 parked on the sandbar just south of the Mississippi River Bridge at Helena, Arkansas with me leaning on the wingtip (I love that plane). J3's are wonderful off-road transportation, great on sand because of their balloon tires. Used 3 and 1 for years doing Search and Rescue on the Mississippi and White Rivers.
Again, thanks.
Much appreciated.
