I am in the process of rebuilding my LU 4 winch and I am unsure what lube to use in the gear cases . I have been told 90w gear lube , than somebody said to use "Worm Gear Oil" . The tech manual is not clear , besides things have changed in the last 50 years or so . Now I am confused , :D b...

I agree with Bruce, I also use the black zip-ties , they kinda blend in with the OD . It more of a deterrent , slows them down , but then again so does a 45ACP! It's a shame that people would steal your tools from something you put a lot of time and effort into for people to appreciate and enjoy . I...

Charles , Josh ,thanks for the info , I plan on resealing the PTO and winch assembly before I do the install . I plan on replaceing the safey band because the end with the adjustment nut is broken off . My de-clutching handle is also stiff ,so I will also take a look at that when I reseal the unit ....
