Hi this is probably a stupid question but...i have a fuel sender with a packard connector on ,the question is can I just replace it with a douglas connector,and will i have some issues with the metal shell shorting out somewhere.or can i make up a short douglas to packard adapter ?

Hi ,managed to find one a few years back in a scrap yard,thought it would complete the engine ,and looks great,but going by what MseriesRebuild has said about fuel consumption i will be taking it off as soon as i get home..its going to cost enough as it is..

Wow i thought i had had problems with mine but yours beats that. I broke one breaker bar,snapped clean off and i was standing on at the time,could have been nasty,bought a bigger breaker bar ,i snapped the adapter in was using so i could use the 3/8 socket ,dohh,went back and bought the correct size...
