Packard connector swap for Douglas

Post by HOODWINCK »

Hi this is probably a stupid question but...i have a fuel sender with a packard connector on ,the question is can I just replace it with a douglas connector, and will i have some issues with the metal shell shorting out somewhere.or can i make up a short douglas to packard adapter ?
ummm.

You can do either.
As long as the douglas connector is fitted correctly you shouldnt have an issue with shorting.
You could also use plastic covered crimps but they tend to look a bit naff.

Cheers!

If you want you can remove the Douglas components from the wire and slide on the Packard stuff while still using the metal contact tip and hook it up to the sender, both come apart easily
