Korea -Christmas Dec 21, 1951

Post by creinemann »

A guy stopped in my antique shop with a shoe box full of black and white pictures from his father, thought I'd share one here, the back of the photo says
"Five Korean laborers with the company Christmas tree in the truck. Dec 21, 1951"

Oh and yes I did open an antiques store, so if your ever in Wisconsin between Madison and Milwaukee, stop in at Legendary Antiques, in Lake Mills WI, or http://legendary-antiques.com And the best part is I use my truck as a display in front of the store every chance I get!

Carl,
Thanks for sharing the cool picture. Congrats on the store, how cool. I enjoyed the video clip of your truck as well. Glad to see your son still has the jeep. Have a great Christmas Season :)

Nice picture, seems like a bit of overkill on the gas cap chain.

Looks like an anti-gas theft chain.

Looks like an anti-gas theft change.

Thats what I thought at first but when I zoom in on the picture that wasn't the case.

The top of the chain sure looks like it is welded to the cap and the bottom of the chain is not visible but may well be padlocked to a fender brace or the frame. Or they lost the inner chain and to keep from loosing caps over and over that is one strong cap retainer chain.

Is there another photo in the set that shows more of the left side of the truck?
