Drive shaft color

I believe the drive shaft was black from the factory. whould the u joints have been painted too or put in after painting and left unpainted?

If your talking about the prop shafts and joints well I painted all mine black.

(Had to get a dig in about prop shafts in case Lifer is reading this !!)

No need in painting until after u-joint installation. Paint will get damaged while pressing them in. Anything left unpainted will rust readily.

so when they left the factory everything was black? It makes sense to do that but wasnt sure
