As far as the color of "stock" trucks, we've discussed it in some other threads concerning the differnces in shade (color) between the current FS595B 24087 and the FS595 24087 that was in use in the '60's (and with subsequent changes up to '84 when FS595B was adopted).
In order to get the "correct" shade of green for a truck used from this period, one would want to specify FS595B 24084 or 34084 (semi-gloss and lusterless, respectively). The current specification FS595B 24084 is actually the same COLOR as the previous FS595 or FS595A 24087.

Honestly, the variation in one vehicle to the next when parked in a line at a motor pool (including the one right behind my office) from just environmental factors are such that even with vehicles sprayed from the same batch of paint, you get different shades... Add in the factors that have been mentioned earlier, and I personally wouldn't sweat it too much trying to get a "perfect" color match...
