Re: Winch Conversion
I bought a MU complete winch and hardware from VPW and installed it
On my WDX Power Wagon in 2004.
Truck already had dual shaft PTO for rear shaft.
Pretty straight forward.
The I got a complete LU winch and hardware for my M37 from John@MWM
Straight forward install, PTO took a little finesse to get on but Doable.
I've seen a couple M37 with MU winch's added on.
Besides not being correct the MU is a lot harder to install because the PTO Shaft
Interferes with the front crossmember radiator support.
You have to get very creative or torch the front support.

Re: Winch Conversion
Sort of like this...the rural fire department that owned my M37 grafted on an MU2, and did some "creative" modifications to the front crossmember to allow for the PTO drive shaft.
