Cab floor under passenger seat
Does anyone have a good picture of the cab floor under the passenger seat? Mine is pretty rusted and I am starting with fresh sheet metal. I am trying to get an idea of what holes are needed through the cab floor in this area. Any help is appreciated!
Re: Cab floor under passenger seat
Thanks for the pic. Mine was so rusted out I didn't realize those holes with grommets were even there. Do you happen to know if these were just drain holes? I am assuming the 4 weldnuts are for holding down the battery box and the oval cutout is for the battery cables to pass through to the starter.
Re: Cab floor under passenger seat
I recall the battery box has a pair of drain tubes that pass through there too. My manuals do not show them however-sorry!

Re: Cab floor under passenger seat
I am going to guess it is those other two holes. Like you, I have looked through all the manuals and haven't found a drawing of this area. My battery box has a rusted out bottom as well so it doesn't help much in figuring out the layout.

I have a serviceable battery box if you need one.

From the top, before sandblasting and removing the destroyed batt box (I have a new one copied from the original). Maybe it also helps.
I have never heard about draining tubes there.

This pic was posted in 2013 that shows the drain tube coming out of the tray

Re: Cab floor under passenger seat
Doesn't seem to me like a drain tube but a screw.

It is a short piece of pipe, with a hose retention ring.
That photo is a bit misleading.
