where can I find a replacement for the fastener that the troop seat bracket pivots on? I'm not even sure what to look for or where to find it.

You might check with John at Midwest Military. I know he makes the brackets for the jump seat so he might also have those pieces.

Gave John a call this afternoon. The part is a special rivet which he has machines in quantities matching his build run of the troop seat so he does not stock extras.
I'm going to use a clevis pin for now, but if I can find someone with a lathe, I'm sure it could be manufactured.
