Travis,
A few months back I spent some time playing with computer models of the old flathead. Using the carbs throttle bore and the program's math the carb likely flows around 150 CFM at 1.5 inHg. When I ran the simulation I set up the #'s were not far off the brake horsepower ratings I've seen listed.

As far as AFR, when we ran the truck on the dyno the #'s were right on the money, 12.5 to 1 at WOT. It is likely the things could be tuned a bit leaner, but I'd want to have a better idea of mixture distribution before playing with that. We're at sea level.

What are you planning?
