Another head gasket thread

I have a couple more coils, i might swap one in if the other things don't help! i have new plugs coming, because mine are fairly dirty. What i suspect is that it won't run right without manifold heat. Mine uses water heat, and it developed a leak between the manifold and water jacket housing, so i bypassed it for now. but it runs horribly rich, and coughs and sputters, and never warms up. the manifold under the carburetor feels icy cold when idling. i took the carb off and there is gas pooled in the bottom. By monday i hope to have it back together with re-designed manifold heat that won't be able to leak. I'll post my results as soon as i can
