Does anyone have a picture of what this weather stripping is supposed to look like? I received some material that is simular in texture to the rear fender welting material, but with a slightly different profile. Is this correct? I assumed this would be a rubber seal. If this is the correct part, how does it get installed to the cowl? Glue, screw, rivet?? Not finding any info in the TM's on this.

it actually gets nailed in with 1/2" or so spiral shank nails. Ill go grab a pic.

if you don't care about originality you can pop rivet it in place. I used countersunk stainless screws with wide countersunk finish washer. Here is an old timer trick - clean the cowl lace real good (thinner if you dare) and then take black GE Silicone II and mash it, work it into the fabric weave until the fibers are encapsulated with it. Wipe off all excess. Let cure several days hanging in air and install. The cowl fabric will not rot and give you a good flexible seal. It almost looks original unless someone sticks his nose right up to it.
