Todays Tally is as said, fired up, set the timing to 5 degrees BTDC as per the vacuum guage and confirmed by the book. Transfer levers, Jack shaft and front Prop shaft is in and with my Awesome Wife's help the guards and bonnet are on but not tightened yet. Tomorrows goal is to fit the rest of the gear up, top up all the lubes and take the bugger for a test drive.
One of my biggest online helpers with this whole mess has been Carter, he sent me a book that answers all the questions in an easy to understand manner and takes a practical approach to everything.

Here it is right next to the job at hand...
Charles's hub bearing and nut setting procedure was excellent, I had my hub socket modified to take a 1/2" drive so I could use my tension wrench on it.
Here's the reason these tyres are being canned, the separation around the retread is not good and the radial crack says these cases are fragged so I am going to have to find a replacement set soon, This is the worst tyre, the rest look ok but if ones crapped out there's a good chance the rest are too..
