M101A1 front drop leg question.

Post by HingsingM37 »

Has anybody removed the spring loaded plunger pin for the front drop leg on their M101? I removed the roll pin hoping the lock pin & spring would come out, not so. Is the pin and handle pressed together? Do I need to heat the handle, straighten it, and remove it that way? :?

Yes, the spring loaded plunger pin must be bent to be removed. My M101 had no pin when I bought it so I turned one to shape then bent it after installation.
