We get our engines from a factory direct Cummins distributor, yes they are brand new and equipped to our specs. when delivered to us. Cost depends on the particular model chosen and various equipment options you may choose. You would have to get more specific in order to nail down a cost figure. As of 1-1- 2010, the 4BTA engines are only available as a Cummins ReCon engine, factory reman that carries a new engine warranty. These are no longer built as new because they do not comply with federal mandates for new engines. The reman 4BTA actually cost more than a fully compliant all electronic engine; cost went up a flat $1,000 per unit as soon as the word came down to stop production.
