Dave
An M37 is not a Jeep. Please don't be offended, but It bothers M37 fans to call them that. They were built by Dodge.

I have put rear bucket seats from a 2000 Ford minivan in mine. M37B1. Plenty of good seats availabe in junkyards now due to "cash for clunkers". You should take out the seat risers by drilling the spotwelds. They can then be re-installed later. What about the batteries? you will want to se...

puller

How about making a puller to fit. Just some threaded rod and some tubing with a washer or two welded onto the end. The tubing should just fit outside of the bearing ,outside the box. The only tricky part would be a heavy washer to fit inside the box but pull on the bearing. May need a lathe for that...

Hi Dave
If I were having that much I would try coating the area inside the dust boot and the piston with grease. Since you're going to DOT 5 Silicone fluid I'd use silicone grease. that could really help, You sure can't lose by trying.

Carter I know what you mean about sandblasting. I use a 4 hp and 5hp, at the same time, both single stage. You should do what I did. I took about nine feet of copper 1/2" tubeing to go from the compressor to the tank. Just use a 5 or 6" can as a form to make a coil of the tube. After a sho...

I went to MWM today and got the paint from John. It's two part urethane semi gloss which was my first choice of paint type. I also got all of the weatherstip parts that I need. He had a weasle there! Of course I'd love to have one. But he wants $7000 for it. I had seen them mentioned on MV web sites...

I'll be going to Bizal's in a week or so. He's only about 60 miles from me. I need a door guide. Not the latch strike plate, the other one. Plus all of the door and windshield seals. Matching the rattlecan sounds like a good approach if a can't find a parts store that can find the color. Thanks for ...

Randy I 'm using a 1990 3/4 ton frame and it's strictly a "C' channel frame. Starting in 94 (second gen) they went to boxing the frame as far back as the rear of the cab. That would really help resist twisting. With my 90 frame all stripped, including engine and tranny crossmembers I jacked up ...

As for getting the paint from Gillespy / Rapco. At $75 a gallon plus haz-mat shipping it gets pretty expensive. Plus, I don't really know how much I'll need. If I need another quart or two I just go into town and get it, instead of the shipping cost and hassle. I'll try the FSN number at the local a...

I agree with Tim. Heat the other nut, Take off the housing. Then heat the broken stud, let it cool some and it should come out. Don't try an easyout on a bolt that twisted off due to rust. It will usually not work. Plus, That was a stud and they are often in pretty tight. If you end up with it broke...

Hi all I'm about ready to start sandblasting my 1963, M37 and was hoping to find a paint code for 1960s OD green. No mil spec stuff. I would like to use urethane and need a code for normal automotive paint, Ditzler, PPG,Dow, etc. I checked with my local (PPG) auto parts store and they could not find...

I'd start at a good auto parts store. Take your M37 yoke with you. A good parts man can help you sort through the u-joint issue. There are u-joint cross shafts that have two different size bearings on the same piece, if needed. Same parts man can help with the throwout bearing / master-slave clutch ...

I'm really interested in this thread since I'm in the middle of mounting a M37 body onto a 90 Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 with Cummins 5.9. The reason That I'm going this way is to have all late model drivetrain with the Cummins. Plus I wanted to avoid cutting into the firewall to make room for the Cummins. T...
