Coil Mystery

My cooling lines are gone. Haven't been there since I have had the truck. Some one at some point in time decided they were not needed. I want to put them back. What size line and in the previous message what angled tube should I be looking for? One inside the air tube between the air cleaner and car...

Fording Cables

Looking for a bit of help here. I have the fording valves installed on my truck and also have the fording cable/s. What I don't have is the clamping brackets that hold the outer cables in place for the inner push/pull to work. Can some one take digital photos of their cable ends where they mount at ...

I went to the Milwaukee Auto show a year ago, and they were releasing the new Challenger I am a HUGE Mopar fan. When I saw the first new Challenger at the Mopar Nationals two years ago, a tear instantly came to my eye. The car is awesome to say the least. Now when I see one at a dealer's lot, a tea...

The Vets Day parade was great. 28+ WW2 Vets attended some wearing their 63+year old uniforms. My special treat was I got to escort 4 active duty Army men who had just returned from a tour in Iraq, for one of them, it was his third tour. They rode in the back on the troop seats. I put wool blankets d...

GM has more than one million retirees and dependents to provide for. Their union retiree payroll far exceeds their productive payroll. I say let them burn also. You can only chew on the hand that feeds you for so long. It is the only way they will learn.

Just remember, that 100 point "concours" restoration is up to the interpretation of a judge. My truck will never achieve that level of restoration nor do I want it to. That truck will never be driven to town to pick up a jug of oil and filter. It is a great (I can't emphasize that word eno...

This is just my own experience, but I have had no problem what so ever with fuel delivery with my truck. I have ascended and descended my truck on grades where if you hit the brakes you will slide the rest of the way. I say put your money into a pro rebuild and call it good.

Paul~ I agree with you 100% Any one who is installing timing gears needs to put the timing marks together. There is no other sensible way to do it!!! The point I was making and I think got lost in the mix is when you put the timing marks together, as in installation, do not get confused and assume t...

Some Timing Notes etc...

I thought since I was up to my elbows in it I would share with thhe group. My first revelation was that when the timing marks are lined up on the crank gear and cam gear, this is the position that the #1 cylinder is at TDC.......THE EXHAUST STROKE!!!! I had no idea and why would they do that?!? #1 T...

Yes, the steel plugs were at least 1/16" thick. Not sheet metal like the cups you get today for modern engines. Only the one was bad, but they are all new now 8) The new NAPA plugs were the same heavy guage metal as the old ones.
