Freeze Plugs
Swapping out freeze plugs. Best I can tell the ones on the side of the engine are 1 5/8" Found some at NAPA part # 3811014 79cents each. What do you think?

Re: Freeze Plugs
Freeze plugs from NAPA are fine, just be sure the diameter is correct. More than 1 diameter of freeze plug is used, best to replace all.amanco wrote:Swapping out freeze plugs. Thanks Charles. I went with NAPA because I don't have tome to wait for a set from VPW, got a parade on Nov 9th. The engine had one plug that when I hit it with my wire brush easily exposed a hole in it. So I figured the others were probably bad too. Well, drilling a hole in them to pry out was no easy task. Kinda wish I had only replaced the one that was bad. Made cleaning the water jackets out alot easier
