1952 M37 for sale in S. E. Michigan.
Hi All. I have enjoyed driving my truck "as is" but had always planned to restore it when I retired. Now that I am, I realize that such an undertaking would probably be beyond my skills and attention span. So, it is now for sale. She starts, runs, stops as original. 24 volt. Seats good exc...

Re: Hibernation casualty
Many thanks to all who offered words of wisdom and of hope. It was the fuel pump. My approach always seems to be to work on the most expensive part first, the carburetor in this instance. Feel kind of stupid, it seems so obvious in hindsight that a simple sniff of the oil would have been in order. T...

Jerry can spout, best place to buy?
Hello Board,
I'd like to buy a spout for my Jerry can. Can anyone recommend their favorite vendor for something like that?
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Hibernation casualty
Hi Bob, thanks for the reply. The level water level in the radiator looks about where it usually is. The antifreeze color is green. The oil on the dipstick is black and clear, not chocolate milky looking as I’ve seen with water in the oil. The oil level is high, almost as far above the full mark as ...

Hibernation casualty
Hello fellow M37ers. I started my M37 Sunday after its winter hibernation and bad things happened. Clouds of white smoke and engine oil dripping from the exhaust. I didn’t notice significant missing, like the problem was localized to just one cylinder, but I might have missed that. Can anyone sugges...

Changing points
Hi Guys. Pulled a plug, no spark. The Technical Manual says to pull the distributor in order to inspect/change the points. That sounds kind of serious, does everyone really do it that way? Is getting the distributor reinstalled successfully really something a newbie can expect to accomplish? On the ...

Replacement coil?
Hi all.
Is it possible to get a replacement coil at the auto parts store? Is there a NAPA number for our coils?
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Pressure Bleeder
I used a couple of pipe reducers (I think I started with 1/2 inch) until I got down to a nipple size that my bleeder (garden sprayer) hose would fit over (I think it was 1/8th inch brass pipe). Just a heads-up: I poured a half quart of fluid in the bleeder, pumped it up and opened the valve. Fluid l...

Carb? question
Hi all. Looking for guidance on troubleshooting a rough running engine. I put on a rebuilt ETW1 carb. Engine starts fine. At 65 degrees, doesn't need choke. Runs fine for the first couple of miles, then starts to run rough. I believe it is running too rich. Sputtering and much black smoke out exhaus...

Thanks,
Dan

Dual Master Cylinder Bleeding
Hi Board. I’m trying to do the dual master cylinder conversion per the Uglytruckling.com article and I’m having a problem bleeding the brakes. I’m using master cylinder “Cardone 10-1584” which my auto parts store says is equivalent to the cylinders mentioned in the article. I’ve followed the bench b...

Master Cylinder Upgrade
Hi Guys. I'm preparing to replace my leaking master cylinder with the newer dual circuit one that has been described on the Forum in the past. First thing I notice is that, coming off the top of the master cylinder, there is a petcock (which is open) with a brake line leading over the frame and towa...
