fuel gauge question
My M37 didn't have a fuel tank when I bought it and I've installed a S10 tank and a new stock M37 sending unit. I checked the unit before installing it by hooking it up and moving the float up & down and all was good. Because of the oration of the unit to have clear movement of the float I had t...

tranny weep hole?
Is there a weep hole to show oil level for the tranny? Looks to be a plug just above the plate on the right side of the tranny.

Re: Low voltage?
Great idea, looking for a drain. I hadn't thought of that. The batteries I have in it are rated at 530 amps@32" and 425 cold amps. They were the best fit the local box auto parts store had and at $100 @ that I wanted to spend on tires I hope thats not the issue. Are these big enough the to make...

Re: New to the group.
Going to try that now, looks like one to many 1's as I counted the digits there. I can make out some if not all the painted numbers on the bumbers and hood, is there info here that I might track the history of this truck? As of now I don't plan a full resto of this truck but do want to clean it up a...

Re: Low voltage?
I'll break all the connection points and clean. As I noted it's putting 27.5 V to the batteries checked with a voltmeter at the batteries when it's running, checked voltage when off at a little over 25 V after a 25 mile drive and sitting overnight. I looked at the operator's TM online and I thought ...

Re: New to the group.
Thanks for the reply. When I checked the frame rail it looked to be 26611 then the 5 numbers from the tag. Could I be using to many digits, should be 2661 then the 5 from the tag?

Low voltage?
When I bought my M37 the volt meter (ampmeter?) was reading in the yellow on the way home. I checked the voltage with the engine running and got 27.5 V, I charged the batteries and checked them with my load cell and they showed weak so I replaced them and still and reading in the lower part of yello...
