Cnavas Cab Top fitment

Post by jahrafa »

Hello,

I recently purchased a new canvas cab top and I am having issues installing it and making it fit. It seems like I can not strecht it enough to make it correctly over the top bow. OR the canvas top was not made corrctly. On the back side where it ties to the cab, it barely passes the edge of the cab. Seems like it needs to be 4 inches longer on the back and on the door rails.

Has anyone had similar issues? I am afaid I will break/tear it if keep tighten it.

Thank you!

It would really help if you posted pictures of the frame and the top to see what, if anything, is wrong.

I would look at the clamps that hold the rear "round" part of the frame, that they are seated in the groove in the base. I've seen them usually sitting too low on that part of the frame which could be the problem. I'm not near the truck or the TM, I know that there are good pictures detailing what I'm trying to explain. Let us know what you find.

Regards,

Bert
