Cool piece; not sure if it really adds anything to the truck though. Wondering if a different color might help? Engine silver? I don't know, i can't even pick out my own clothes.

Can't give my opinion, it is just personal choise.
Mine used to have a Swan there and I inmediatelly removed it heheheh

If you mount it other way around you can use the horns as recovery points...

GIs did stuff like that a lot during the 60 especially in country places like Vietnam. If they could get away with something they would. So put it on the truck, mark it with a unit markings from in country like 101AB or 1INF and tell the haters that it came that way from south east Asia. 

M37s are HMMWV in my world!

I prefer the blank hood nose, not even caring for the hood handle seen on a number of M37s (but that's just my preference).
