I'm looking for color pics of the M37 in Korea....early 50's timeframe. I'm using them to determine the correct color to paint my truck and to figure out the correct stenciling and fonts. Here's 2 pics I found last night. dated 1953......if you have any others please post or send to my email (w30bob@verizon.net). Note in the first pic the difference in color and gloss between the M37 and the M38.......interesting stuff!
Bob, That's a great picture because it shows you how you can have different shades of the same color. To my eye that looks like 24087 Army green from the 50-70s. The M38A1 has more of the brownish tint and the M37 has more of the dark green tint. You are making yourself crazy over the paint color, but I appreciate your efforts. I've been in the hobby for over 30 years and my advice for what it's worth is pick a color, paint the truck and enjoy! I'm partial to woodland four color MERC camo but that's just me. I vote for the color the M37 is in the second picture. That looks right to me!
