CCKW round window M37 top

Post by LegionPiper »

Hi folks,
from what I can tell this Top was borrowed from the CCKW ?

Does anyone know what the insulation is made of ?
Does it require any special handling processes ? ( ie: Asbestos ? )

I personally love this top, it gives the truck a much older look to it.

CCKW tops will fit with the correct adapters to convert it. Lots of M37's got them in the early years. Personally, I would much rather have a genuine M37 arctic hardtop; much better fit, much sleeker styling and better fit around the door glasses, slide open rear window, plus has insulation under the interior sheet metal, so warmer in winter, much cooler in summer. All the insulation I have seen in CCKW tops is glued in foam. That is not to say some did not get other types of insulation after the fact, so there is actually no telling what yours could have.
