Engine weight?

Does anyone know the weight of the complete engine? (not trans)

Well............that's a tough one. The ONLY info I found on the subject was on this site;

On another site someone mentioned that a 230 long block was about 400 lbs. So 600 lbs for a complete engine is believeable, if it includes everything.

That's about as good as I can do.

Thanks, that helps. I'm in the process of putting in a 5.7 hemi in mine-which weighs 485#, so springs should be happy.
