Re: RIP DAP
So sorry to hear of this. I never met Dan but knew of some of his contributions to our hobby. Some might not be aware that he shared some of his expertise in the "How To" section in David Ahl's M37 Resto Guide publication.
Rest in peace, Dan-our heartfelt condolences to your family and friends.

Rest in Peace DAP
It is with sad news that I inform you all that we lost another M37 brother and forum member Dan Pinkham (DAP). As many of you know Dan has been battling Leukemia for the last 18 months. Dan entered the presence of his Savior Friday evening at 11:56 pm. Dan decided to quit treatments and medical care only a few days ago. According to family, once Dan made the decision to discontinue all further treatments, his decline was unbelievably noticeable by the hour. He was in hospice care only a few days.
I met Dan when I purchased his extra set of racks and bows for my M101 trailer a few years back. He was a fine gentlemen and we both shared an interest in aviation. Dan was employed at the JAARS facility in Waxaw NC where he worked in aircraft maintenance. We will miss him dearly.

Re: RIP DAP
I just got home from an Alaska/Yukon trip and read this. Like RMS and many others, I recall seeing Dan's truck and his contributions from as far back as the BigE days, almost 25 yrs ago. Its a bit of a wake up call that life is too short and the years pass us by way too quickly.
My sincerest condolences to Dan's family and many friends. We'll meet Dan again when we reach the end of that long and winding trail of life.
