Neighboring M37

Post by w30bob »

Doorbell rings this morning at 7:30am.........I'm still in bed. I figure this can't be a good thing. It rings a second time. I stumble to the door and it's my neighbor from across the street. He tells me his horses got out during the night and wanted permission to look in my yard. Now I knew they weren't in my yard because if they were my stallion would be going nuts, but I couldn't let the poor guy go looking for his horses all by himself, as he helped me find mine a few weeks ago when they got out, so I threw on a coat and we started looking. He got in his truck and headed south, and I got in mine and headed north. So I'm driving around the neighborhood one block over from mine and what do I see sitting in some guys driveway? Yup, an M37! A block away..........and I never knew it was there. Too early to go ring his doorbell, but I'll get back over there this week and see if I can get him to join the forum. Man, these M37 things are EVERYWHERE!

Back in the spring of 2009 I saw an M37 up in Bellevue Idaho, and started shopping for one closer to where I live. I found one in November of that year and had it shipped 200 miles to my house. I was sure I had the only one in the area. Two weeks later, a flat bed semi drops another M37 off at the bottom of my neighborhood since it cannot turn around. The M37 had dead batteries and needed a jump, and the neighbors caretaker knocked on my door to see if I could help. The only two M37 trucks in the area are in the same neighbor hood and are about ten houses apart.

Bert,

How you figuring 7:30am is almost noon? Your day must go by REAL fast!!
But yes, we found them in a pasture about a 1/4 mile away chomping on the nice green grass.
They got out again on Saturday night and Sunday I showed my neighbor how to rig his electric fence to really shock the s&%t out of them if they tried it again.
So far so good!

There is an OLD black man somewhere around here with one. I met him once a year ago as he was letting her 'take a cool' a block from my house. His water tube must be bad, he said he could only drive on the side streets and only for a couple minutes before it needed 15 to cool down. Haven't seen him since, nor been able to locate the truck.
