Inside rear view mirror

Post by rickv100 »

I was talking with John Bizal at Midwest Military and he said there was a MWO to install rear view mirrors in the Dodge M37's.

Has anyone have a copy of the MWO or photo of one installed?

I would be interested also in a copy or at least the MWO number, if anyone has it.

Thanks,

I've not seen the MWO for it either and would certainly like to see it too. In the 1955 ORD 9 and 1957 ORD 8 manuals, there is an interior rear view mirror listed. I've seen a photo in the 1950 TM 9-840 which looks like an open cab WC series mirror. So, it seems there was an "optional" mirror available from the beginning but I've never seen a photo of a truck in service with one that I can recall.

I don't have a copy of one but I installed one on my son n laws 53 M37. What I used is a M151A1/A2 (off set) mirror and bracket. Of corse we have a hard top but if you have a soft top then you might mount the bracket to the out side windsheild frame.
