Bushings and Pins

Post by m-11 »

Anyone have a source for bushings and pins that go to the suspension and frame. Also need bushings for the four wheel drive handles.

I knew that VPW has them on their website and MWM has a couple things on their site. I didn't know if there was another source out there producing these parts. Right now I have an e-mail into MWM and I'm also going to pull a bushing and pin to see what the machinist I work with would charge me to produce them.

Bushings are no problem to buy made from top quality material from any bearing vendor. We buy from mcmaster-carr usually, there are many other suppliers as well. The pins however are another thing altogether. They are hardened, so where ever you purchase from, you need to ask questions about the quality if they are repro parts. If they are too hard, they can shatter and break, if they are too soft, they will wear very rapidly. These are a precise item when it comes to being reproduced correctly, there is a lot more to it than just turning them out on a lathe.

I have 6 NOS pins, 4700-00-737-3778 and plenty of bushings 3120-735-1270 if these are what you are looking for. Also I might have them in good usable condition.
