Hood Numbers

Any links to info I can find from hood numbers? I haven't had a chance to sand down the bumper yet but did sand the hood and found 2443725. I searched past threads and found some info on bumper markings but wasn't able to find anything on the hood.

About the only thing I've been able to do with my hood number is compare it to other trucks in the G741 Registry to confirm it is in the correct range for my truck's delivery date. I don't know if there is anything else you can do since the military records have long been purged for these trucks. Once in a while if I see a new photo of an M37, I'll look at the hood number to see how close it is to my truck. Maybe one day I'll see my truck but I doubt it.
