Hi Guys,
On the original M37 muffler (not aftermarket replacements) were either or both of the inlet/outlet pipes offset from the center of the muffler, or was it a straight thru design? Reason I ask is I can't tell this from the pics in the manuals I have, and I've seen both types advertised as M37 mufflers. I have an old muffler that I think is an M37 muffler and the inlet and outlet are centered, yet I saw a guy selling an M37 muffler at a meet and that had a centered inlet pipe with an offset outlet pipe. I guess it would make a difference when you mount it, so I'm just trying to figure out what's correct.
thanks,
bob

Both are centered, however, one end is larger the the other, for and aft bracket/hangers are very different. I cannot remember which is which, John at Midwest can splain it to you.
