Pyrene Fire Extinguisher
My M-37 came equipped with original brass Pyrene fire extinguisher, really cool. Does anyone know what to refill it with ? Says to refill with Pyrene fire extinguisher liquid. Assume Pyrene is no longer around.
Re: Pyrene Fire Extinguisher
Those extinguishers were originally filled with carbon tetrachloride which is no longer available since the chemical is toxic and all kinds of bad things will happen to you if exposed to it.

WOW !!! Well I polished the hell out of it anyway. Thanks, But it LOOKS great.
Re: Pyrene Fire Extinguisher
Two choices, fill with water only to put out a camp fire. Or as I do use it as my mobile flask, Brandy or Vodka depending on the season.
As with anything that was effective the tree huggers rather have you burn up than breath some bad fumes!

Now Wayne, you're my kinda guy. What a great idea. A little carbon tet residue not gonna kill me now.
