My glove box is silver. Is green the correct original color?
Thanks,
Gerry

Glove box should match the color of your truck. :D

24087 (O.D. Green) is probably the original color

When I R and R'd my glove box I painted the inside light grey so I could see what was inside
during low light situations. It's not mil. spec. but my M is never going to be judged on a
National level. Just one of the many things I do to please me and make the M more driveable.
The outside of my glove box was painted O.D. to match the truck.

Jerry,
That was my original thought also. If its not supposed to be silver at least I will be able to see better so I painted it. But it bothered me since I am trying to do a factory refurb. So i took it back out and repainted. I will never get trucked judged so that didnt matter to me also

That's the great part about restoring an M37. You can do whatever floats yur' boat. Making it more reliable and fun
to drive is always my goal. I like to keep the basic stock look and color but after that anything that I feel improves
the M will be considered, i.e. disk brakes, diesel motor, longer gears, elec. wipers, a heater, etc.
Just need more time and money. :D

I like this, I think I'm gonna do that!

As an aside, I read on Steel Soldiers that if you want to brighten up the military tail lights, you can paint the inside of the housing silver as well.
