Had a good laugh today

So I was asked to write a chapter for a book on a certain battle we fought in RVN. I went to Mapquest as I needed to refresh my memory on north / south to get it right. So this city which is near and was part of the battle is still there. Just for giggles I look for hotels, restaurants, gas stations in and around the city. Bottom line is that nothing is available, so it's settled no return visit for me.

It's hard to believe there's even one square mile left on the planet that doesn't have a McDonalds, a Motel 6 and an Exxon station in it. But you may have found it!!
