OIL CHANGES AFTER SANDY

Post by 8543bob »

GOOD AM TO ALL.
I know this has been gone over before, but please run this by me again: I drained and flushed all my affected: difs, transfer case, trans, steering box. now I want to refill. Tansmission, 40-50W, transfer case, 40-50W, diffs 90W gear oil, steering box, 90W gear oil. Is that about right?? I already changed the engine oil twice. Your input would be appreciated.
THANKS BOB

Bob glade to see your back . Your right about the Lubes. I use 15-40 in the motor 50 in the Trans and Transfer case and use 75-90 GL-4 in the Differentials. I would also pull the wheel bearings on all 4 wheels wash and grease them, clean out the steering knuckles and grease the pedal linkages and mount. Replace the brake fluid. Also don't forget about your electrical system, You know what can happen when salt water hit that. I know it should be water proof you cant tell. So look into that also.
If I can be of any help feel free to give me a call.
