Check the fuel pump diaphram, if it leaks gas can get into the crankcase.

Thanks for your reply Frank, does the pump come apart or is there a way to pressure test it on the bench?

If you have fuel in your oil, it's the diaphragm on the fuel pump. No messing about, remove pump and either rebuild or replace. Then and Now Automotive has the proper rebuild kits (or they will do it). You can also plate off the hole and go to an electric pump (mount it in the rear near the tank). The ethanol in the gas is what is killing the rubber parts, so you'll want to replace everything rubber in your entire fuel line, back to front. This includes the fuel filler and vent lines off the tank. From there, be sure the tank is clean, no rust or varnish; it should probably be drained if it has sat for any length of time.

Thank you for the welcome Gary

Warren part of my plan getting it road ready is to flush out the old gas. maybe pull the sending unit and inspect the inside see if its nasty. I emailed then and now for a kit.

I pulled the oil pan today because after i drained out the oil/gas mix i stuck my finger in there and was sludgy on the bottom. going to clean that out and reinstall.

I have the rotors off, pads look good wheel cylinders look bad going to replace all 4.

So my next 2 questions:

1) I read i need a 1100 wix so I ordered one from my local napa they have it for me just have to pick it up. I pulled the old one out and its a NAPA 1010. dosent look like they cross reference I assume they had the wrong one in there?

2) since were talking about gas what do you guys run for octane and do I need to put an additive in the gas? Ive been a diesel guy the last 10 years dont know much about points, coils regulators esp 24 volt but I have been reading up on here!

Looks like a nice one to start with. As for pic posting it works better using the img buttons rather than adding an attatchment. do a search its been written about several times.

Oil filter is the NAPA Gold 1100 or equiv.
I run regular 87 with lots of Lucas ethanol treatment (stabilizer). When you're looking at stabilizers/ethanol treatments, be sure there isn't any more alcohol in the formula, there's way too much in the gas already. Low octane seems to be best, they weren't made to run on top grade fuel to begin with.
As long as you're digging into the brakes, look at the master cylinder too. Sounds like yours has a disc brake conversion, hopefully the Chevy C-30 master cylinder too.

I should have said drums instead of rotors and shoes instead of pads  silly nintendo generation kids

I noticed yesterday For whatever reason my ignition filter is mounted to the firewall but nothing going in or out of it any idea why this might be?

Ignition filter or rectifier? The originals had generator/rectifiers but some folks have had theirs converted to alternators which don't need the rectifier. As you're finding, these trucks have been subject to Bubba mods for many years.
