Fording valve settings

Post by nanuke1 »

Does anybody have any pics of the correct position of the fording valves on the crankcase and carberator. Mine are neither open or closed and I'm not sure which way is open and I'm having issues with oil continually leaking out of my valve access covers so I'm concerned that there is too much pressure in the crankcase.

It is probably best to unbolt the tubes leading to them and look. There are no markings on the valves. When I had mine out I stamped a little "o" on them for the non fording position.
