I just picked up from an estate, about 50 lbs of well preserved original manuals
mostly pertaining to Field Artillery, from a Lieutenant Colonel who served from
1909 through 1947. He was in both WWI and WWII. I would say most of the manuals
are from WWI up through 1940.
I am looking to sell off most of them, if any one is interested send me a PM or
email, I will try and get a list up here soon as to what I have
There is also a lot of correspondence, including one cool letter discussing the
pros and cons of creating an Air Corps with the 233 planes in US inventory...and
where we could find pilots. There are also early 1900's maps of Gettysburg,
Sparta Wisconsin, Camp Sheridan, Hand Drawn trench position maps from France -
Vimy Ridge, Sausage Valley?, and the Somme
There are even some manuals from 1918-19 US Army Motor Corps--
There are also numerous blank forms, Morning Reports, Physical Evaluations,
Recruiting Forms, Artillery Firing Forms, etc.
If any one is interested send me a PM or an email to creinemann@crwdesigns.com
Any interest in WW1 stuff?

WWI Quartermaster payout
I have inventoried almost all the paperwork, and I have a list if any one is interested.
It has been a lot of fun going through, I am going to post a quartermaster payout for this gentleman's gear and weapons, wish we still could find things at these prices. What do you think this "kit would go for now?
Also found a funny item in orders on how Officers are to behave in 1917 in the states or France, in regards to marriage, the Regiment commander is to give the bride of Officer a wooden rolling pin for her to use as she see's fit, then, when a new officer and bride are married, the former bride is to sign the rolling pin and give it to the new bride with ample advice.
