Yes there was a turn signal kit introduced (for the army)in the early 60's, It was a (large)mechanical flasher unit and a (signal stat) t/s switch and the wires to connect the 2, the rest of the wires to the lights were made up at the depot. There had been some on e-bay recently although not today. In the late 60's a standardized solid state t/s system came out, (there was a couple diff. switch designs in the beginning) which was factory installed on all MV's starting around 69 or so. It was often used to update vehicles w/ the older mechanical kits an is eaiser to find now. Most surplus sellers have them, agian it consists of a t/s switch and (much smaller) flasher unit and the harness to connect them, agian the wiring to the lights was made at the depot. (by you) usually by interupting the wires to the taillights an f. park lights.

If you look at Saturn Surplus, they have the HUMVEE turn lever, the flasher module, and connecting harness all in the same place. I pieced the same parts from various vendors and the prices are reasonable. Comes with packard rubber connectors pre-numbered. I painted the lever 24087 but the parts merely screwed together. You'll need to plug the module end of the connector to the appropriate leads on the light switch. The wiring mech is online. Check if you have douglas metal shells or not - if - then you may want to call Vintage Wiring ($60).
