help with bumper numbers

Post by pryorfire48 »

I wet sanded off he top coat of fire department red and found these numbers. I have tried olive drab and googled what i thought was the correct interpretation.

1-5f32 aa22 one dash (not A) five F 32 on the left side and AA22 on right. the right side could actually be A 2 and then repainted over as the letters and numbers overlap but are almost side by side, his causes it to look like AA 22

I read this as first infantry 32 divison of the 5 battlion field artillery ???

Could be, but I recall the division number (1 in this case) would/should have an "I" (for Infantry) next to it, then 5th BN of the 32nd Field Artillery....
