Anyone know how much gear oil is supposed to be in a tranny that has a PTO attached to it?

The early transmission used in trucks prior to the B1 series with a PTO holds 10.5 pints of oil

The later transmission (NP420) used in the B1 trucks with a PTO holds 7 pints.
