E-brake band size.

Post by Gerry »

Does anyone know the thickness of the e-brake band. Re installed with a new band (believe they used 1/4 inch)but I cant get the open end to close enough to put the screw in. Or am I doing something wrong.(which is very possible)
Thanks,
Gerry

Thanks,
The correct lining material is 1/4" X 2" wide, must not be doing something right.

PERHAPS THE BOLT THAT YOU HAVE IS NOT THE ORIGINAL, RATHER A SHORTER ONE? I DO REMEMBER THAT BOLT BEING QUITE LONG ON MY TRUCK :?:

I thought the same thing but I looked in the manual it it was the right lenght. but i will double check again because a longer bolt would work.
Thanks,
