TRANSFER CASE QUESTIONS
HELLO ALL. IS THE STOCK TRANSFER CASE IN OUR M37 AND M37B1 AN NP200? IF SO, AS FAR AS I KNOW IT IS GEAR DRIVEN WITH TWO SPEED 1/1 AND 1/1.96 RATIOS. CORRECT? SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT IF IT HAS A PTO PORT THEN IT IS AN NP201. I AM 95% SURE I HAVE SEEN A PTO PORT ON MY TRANSFER CASE, BUT I AM 6000 MILES AWAY FROM IT TO VERIFY THAT. ON A SHORT CHECK I DID ON THE INTERNET, HE SEEMS TO BE RIGHT. I FOUND AN ARTICLE THAT SAYS JUST THAT. IF A PTO PORT EXISTS, IT IS AN NP201. CAN ANYONE OF YOU CLARIFY THIS PLEASE?

Re: TRANSFER CASE QUESTIONS
Hi Sotven,
Yes, it is an NP 200, yes on the ratio, yes on the gear drive, yes on the 2 speed, no PTO port on an NP 200.
You are correct that an NP 201 has a PTO port, it is a 10 bolt PTO. To the best of my knowledge, M37s never came through with an NP 201, so if yours has one it is likely a transplant.

Re: TRANSFER CASE QUESTIONS
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE CLARIFICATION MY FRIEND. NOW I REALLY WONDER IF I INDEED SAW A PTO PORTAL ON MY T-CASE, OR WAS IT MY IMAGINATION...
