Hello Everyone

Post by pwrwagonfire »

Hey guys, I'm Tom, new to the site. I've been a regular poster over at steelsoldiers.com since 2008. I am a fulltime firefighter for my State's Forest service, and have the good fortune to work with a '64 WM300, and a '57 WM300, so I am pretty familiar with powerwagons.

I purchased a '52 M37 last September, and have been working on it ever since....current project? The brakes.

Well, I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself, I've been reading around the forum and got soom great tips already for previous posts!

So thanks in advance guys, I look foward to speaking with you. :)

Be kinda hard to say, Rick. Looks a little too green to me, but pics can be deceiving sometimes. We can only hope, right? ;)

PW Fire, that's the one you bought over in Surry, NH isn't it? If so, it is looking a lot better. Good to see your photos. :D

I don't think so unfortunately...the dash plate says the truck is origional to the army. I WAS considering painting it strata blue, with the yellow lettering like the AF! :D

Paul! Good to hear from you again. It Is the one I got from Surry. I've put quite a bit of work into it so far; new alternator, door, rebuilt front axle with new seals and repacked it all with grease, new brake lines and hoses, new MC, new wheel cylinders, new warn lockout hubs....much more to come as you guys know! Once you take one thing apart, you find 5 more things to do!

Thanks for all the welcomes, I will be keeping you guys posted on my progress...next step: taking off the bed, rebuilding rear axle, and then new fuel lines, and a new tank!
