F86D and me

Post by HingsingM37 »

A couple shots of our first car show at the museum last Sunday. In lieu of dash plaques drivers could take a pic in front of the F86D and A7. We had a great turn out. Only one other OD vehicle. M38.
I think it will be an annual event now. My thanks to the crew at MAPS for a great day. They even had a Pipe Band and ceremony to honor our Vets and current Military.
Looking at my rig on flat ground I think I may add a few leafs in the front down the road to raise my front end a bit 8)

Nice pics! Actually, your M37 looks just fine the way it is. They're supposed to have a slight "nose down" attitude when empty. Fully loaded, they level out a bit. That's to keep your eyes on the road instead of the sky while hauling ammo to the big guns. ;)

Great pictures David, Thanks for sharing. Your truck looks great.
I just had my front springs re-arched to gain 1.5" more height. I'll have to wait until I start the reassembly before I know if this was a good move. My truck was low on the front end and right rear.

Looks great David! The rake of your truck looks correct to me-I wouldn't change it.

Did you ever get your rear window finished or is that just an open square still?

Thanks gang. We are having the Collings Corsair in July 4th weekend. I hope to get some shots with it.
Looking at the truck again in the garage and other truck photo's I guess it does sit right after all. What was I thinking? I just put the truck together, who the hell wants to wrestle springs out? Any excuse to avoid all the honeydo projects I have put off for 4 years
K8ICU, yes, the rear glass is in.

Great pics David. Your truck looks very good. The Corsair coming should be fun. Sounds like the same group that came here in April. If it is you are in for great time.
